I have attempted to map out eurodance as a genre with its subgenres, regions, history and influences. Please note that this is my interpretation of the genre and the terms I use don't have to be objective or mainstream.
Eurodance is somewhat of an umbrella term used to describe popular and mainstream dance music released in Europe during mostly the 90s. Please note that genre terms are applied by music journalists, sellers, etc. often retrospectively to group or describe trends. Artists were not making "Eurodance" on purpose, especially in the early 90s when the term wasn't yet used the way it is now.
